Thinking in the short term and wondering when this person will leave your organization, is taking a negative view of the situation. Obviously they were having a tough time getting hired in the first place if they were lowering their price and job expectation. Use them to implement new ideas and strategies that will propel your organization forward. Have them mentor your staff so that whatever knowledge they do come with, becomes enterprise property when they leave. Don't worry about how long they are going to stay with your organization.
Showing some enthusiasm about the position will demonstrate a positive attitude toward the assignment that you're seeking. The employer will want to find out about your past experience -- successes and failures, your work ethic, your track record and, more than likely, the reason you have chosen to work as a temporary employee rather than a regular employee. Even though you are not being considered for a regular position at this time, there is always the possibility that it just might work out well for both parties -- and the first step to making that happen is by acing the interview. Make sure you have an answer to the question, 'Why temporary employment?. Practice saying this statement until it is natural.

statement, but might be 3 or 4 lines/1 to 2 sentences. ONE MORE OPTION An alternative to using resume
objectives is to substitute one of the following at the
top of your resume.

Apparently the hospital's lawyers were trying to protect them from lawsuits that could possibly result if something negative (and not proven as fact) was said about a past employee which prevented that employee from obtaining another job. Regardless of the threat of lawsuits (don't get me started on that), the bottom line for job seekers is that you should not assume your former employer will only provide your dates of employment and job title. If you were an outstanding employee, it may be revealed. Plus companies that were once worried about being sued by a former employee over a bad reference are now more concerned about being sued by an employer who wasn't warned about a bad employee. The need to provide a safe workplace is helping to drive this increase.
It heals us and changes the way we view a situation and our attitude toward it. Use your support system and seek outside help when you feel overwhelmed. We all need the help and support of family and friends at various points in our lives. Cut yourself and everyone else some slack. In times of stress and change, we are bound to make mistakes.
When I made the decision to quit the job without another job to go to, I remember the comments and negative feedback I received from friends and colleagues. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and over the years I have been involved in many MLM networks. I enjoy people and selling quality products and services. If you are considering quitting your job without another job, know that you are not alone and it will be okay. It meant taking some classes to add more skills to my resume and I encountered an understanding employer who saw something and decided to take a chance on me.
Keeping a positive attitude and keeping smiling will increase the positive results. Although it's crucial to talk about yourself, you don't want to spend all of your time explaining what you do. People love to talk about themselves and it will give you time to understand them and how you may be able to help them. If you can help them, they will be more likely to help you. Make notes on the back so you know where they came from and what follow up you intend to take.
